For Social, Club and Dining members, our stunning clubhouse renovation is complete, introducing beautifully refreshed dining rooms, expanded gathering spaces and inviting indoor and outdoor seating on the verandah and pool deck. These enhancements create the perfect setting for everything from casual evenings to special celebrations.


For sports enthusiasts, exciting improvements are underway. Our upgraded fitness and tennis facilities are being finalized, while our comprehensive golf course renovation is set to begin, along with the introduction of an innovative short course concept ahead of the main course transformation. Together, these multimillion dollar, multi year enhancements are designed to elevate every aspect of Club life.

As a member owned private club, Deerwood offers two distinct membership opportunities designed to complement your lifestyle.


Equity Membership

Equity Membership provides the opportunity to become an owner of the Club. Equity members enjoy voting rights and eligibility to serve on the Board of Governors and Club committees. Additional privileges include priority placement in tournaments and events, annual guest passes, and exclusive benefits for immediate family members living at home through age 26.

Equity certificates are fully transferable in accordance with Club bylaws.


Associate Membership

Associate membership is designed for Deerwood residents and families living outside the gates who desire full access to Club amenities without equity ownership. Associate members enjoy comprehensive access for their household, including children through age 24.

With more than 200 Associate members from across Duval County and surrounding communities, Deerwood is truly a citywide private club community.

Championship Golf Course
Originally designed by acclaimed architect George Cobb, our Par 72 course features six tee sets and plays 7,261 yards. An exciting course redesign is scheduled for 2026 and 2027.


Practice Facilities
Driving range, short game area, and expansive putting green.


The Approach Short Course
A reversible 3 hole short course opening in mid 2026, designed for flexible play and short game development.


Tennis Complex
12 upgraded Har-Tru courts, including 10 lighted courts for evening play.


Pickleball Courts
Four dedicated courts for both recreational and competitive play.


Fitness Center
A modern facility featuring dedicated cardio and strength training areas, group fitness classes, personal training packages, and massage therapy services.


Kids Club
Childcare, seasonal camps, and engaging programs for children ages 3 months through 11 years.

Junior Olympic Size Aquatic Center
Zero entry access to 6 feet in depth, lap lanes, and a spa. Home of the Torpedoes swim team, with swim lessons available for all ages.


Dining Experiences
Enjoy poolside service, family dining at 1960, or a relaxed setting at Sam’s Place, all complemented by sweeping verandah views of Lake Deerwood and the golf course.


Elegant Clubhouse

  • EQUITY MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

    Deerwood Country Club is a member Owned Private Equity Club with membership available by invitation. Each prospective member must be sponsored by two current members in good standing. All applications are reviewed and approved by the Board of Governors.


    Equity members are shareholders of the Club with full voting rights and eligibility to serve on the Board of Governors. In addition to full Club access, Equity members enjoy exclusive privileges and benefits. Unmarried children living at home are included through age 26.


     Equity Partner Privileges Include  

    • Priority tee times
    • Priority event registration and banquet bookings
    • Priority locker assignments
    • Invitations to select member only social and business events

    Equity certificates are redeemable for 85 percent of the current value once fully vested, defined as paid in full and maintaining active membership for a minimum of three consecutive years. Equity is transferable in accordance with Club bylaws.

  • FULL AND JUNIOR FULL

    Full and junior full members enjoy all Club amenities; golf course, practice range, GHIN handicap, tennis, pickleball, fitness, aquatics, dining, social events, massage therapy, kids club, clinics, camps and our very own swim team, The Torpedoes. (Cart fees apply. No charge to walk).


    Junior full memberships are for those that are under the age of 40. Upon turning 40 Full membership fees will apply.


  • SPORTS

    Sports members enjoy unlimited access to racquet courts, fitness center and classes, aquatics, massage therapy, dining, social events, kids club, clinics, camps and our very own swim team, The Torpedoes.  Golf privilege's encompass six rounds per year with a cart fee, after the sixth round, golf is available on a pay-as-play basis. Practice range fee applies, either daily, monthly or annual.

    Company designees enjoy reduced initiation fees and dues rates plus unique privileges catered to the individual corporate needs.

    • full benefit privileges for 4 -10
      full individuals and their family

    Executive full members enjoy golf, racquet sports, fitness center and classes, aquatics, dining and social events and kids club, camps and spa services.


     Features  

    • Unlimited access to the Golf course with Complimentary Green fees.
    • Complimentary Practice Range, with two putting greens, practice bunkers and chipping green.
    • Cart fees of $30 per player apply for eighteen holes.
    • Access to all club sponsored Social Activities and Events.
    • $500 credit toward private corporate meetings or functions per year.
    • Complimentary room rental (minimums and AV charges apply).
    • Full business meeting, event, and tournament planning coordination.
    • Complimentary advertising space in the monthly newsletter for three (3) consecutive months.

  • NATIONAL

    Full benefits for those with a primary address 50 miles or more outside of Jacksonville (qualifiers in place) Nonresident members enjoy four (4) months (121 Days) of access to golf, tennis, pickleball, fitness center and classes, sauna/steam room, aquatic center, dining, massage therapy, social events, and six days of golf play with cart fee, after the sixth day of play cart & green fees apply. Practice range fees apply.
