Membership Process & Requirements
How do I become a member of Deerwood Country Club?
Membership is by invitation. Prospective members must be sponsored by two current members in good standing. Once submitted, applications are reviewed and approved by the Board of Governors.
What is the difference between Equity and Associate Membership?
Equity members are owners of the Club with voting rights and eligibility to serve on the Board of Governors.
Associate members enjoy full access to Club amenities but do not hold equity ownership or voting privileges.
Are children included in membership?
Equity membership includes unmarried children living at home through age 26.
Associate membership includes children through age 24.
Are there initiation fees?
Yes. membership requires a one time initiation fee along with applicable dues. Equity membership also includes a redeemable equity component.
Can Equity Membership be transferred?
Yes. Equity certificates are transferable in accordance with Club bylaws and are redeemable at 85 percent of value once fully vested.
Guest Policies
May members bring guests?
Yes. members may host guests in accordance with Club policies. Applicable guest fees and Green fees apply.
Do guests have to follow Club dress code?
Yes. All guests must adhere to Club dress code standards for golf, dining, and amenities.
Are guest passes available?
Equity members receive annual guest passes as part of their membership benefits. Passes must be declared at the time of reservation and are non transferable.
Are personal coolers permitted?
No. Personal coolers are not permitted on Club property.
Renovation Timeline & Impact
When does the golf course renovation begin?
The comprehensive golf course renovation is scheduled to begin in late 2025.
When will the renovation be completed?
Completion is anticipated in 2027.
Will the course close during renovation?
Details regarding construction phasing and course availability will be communicated to members in advance to minimize disruption.
When will the Short Course open?
The Short Course is scheduled to open in mid 2026.
What improvements are included in the renovation?
Enhancements include infrastructure upgrades such as irrigation and drainage, redesigned bunkering and green complexes, improved routing, and strategic updates to enhance playability and aesthetics.
