As Deerwood enters an exciting new era of golf, bold enhancements will elevate both the challenge and beauty of the course. Originally designed in 1960 by renowned architect George Cobb, the course is being reimagined under the direction of Erik Larsen. The redesigned layout will be longer, more strategic, and visually striking—featuring expanded white sand bunkers, compelling risk-reward opportunities, and a dramatic shared double green that adds both character and competitive intrigue.

Golf Course Tees Up Major Redesign

Beginning in late 2025, our historic golf course embarked on a comprehensive redesign that will elevate both playability and visual impact. Upon completion in 2027, Members can expect a layout that is longer, more strategic, and even more scenic than ever before. Under the direction of architect Erik Larsen, the renovation will introduce bold design elements, including an impressive 20,000-square-foot shared double green designed to deliver a true “wow” factor. The course will expand from its current 7,261 yards to approximately 7,350 yards, creating an enhanced championship experience.

In addition to the full 18-hole transformation, a new short par-3 course will open in mid-2026, ahead of the primary renovation work. This modern short course concept reflects one of the game’s most popular trends, offering Members a flexible option to enjoy a quick round, sharpen their short game, or introduce family and friends to the sport when time doesn’t allow for a full 18 holes.
