Bold Updates Define Our New Course

As Deerwood enters into a new era of golf, exciting bold updates will include a longer, tougher and more scenic course. Since its initial design in 1960 by prolific architect, George Cobb, the new course under the direction of Erik Larsen, will feature a dramatic look with risk/reward for competitive play including one hole with a shared double green and large, white sand bunkers for a dramatic look. Golf Course Tees Up Major Redesign

Beginning in late 2025, our historic golf course will undergo a massive redesign. Golf enthusiasts can expect the course to play longer, tougher and be way more scenic after expected completion in 2027. Architect Erik Larsen plans bold updates including a 20,000-square-foot double green.  "What we'll have is the wow factor," Larsen says. The course length will go from its current 7,261 yards to 7,350 yards.

In addition to the full 18-hole redesign, a short par-3 course (pictured to the left) will open in 2026 before the main course renovation is underway. The short course concept is the latest in golf club enhancements allowing golfers to sneak in a few swings when they don't have time to play a full round.
