Michael Broderick has been on the golf course since he was four years old. He recognized in order to spend time with dad on the weekend, he’d better learn the game. He had a solid junior golf career and was named a Boston Globe All-Scholastic player his senior year at Harwich High School. His work experiences at Ocean Edge and friendships with the local golf professionals enticed Michael to become of PGA Member. Michael attended Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC, and earned a degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Professional Golf Management and Hospitality.

During his college years, Michael completed internships in the Outer Banks, NC, Cape Cod, MA, and North Florida for his PGA work experience, earning his PGA Class A membership in 2008. His final internship at The Palencia Club provided him an opportunity to serve the First Assistant at the Club for the next five years. He spent a summer at The Tuxedo Club in 2013 and was hired as the First Assistant at Sawgrass Country Club in April 2014, where he was promoted to Head Professional in 2015 and served as Interim Director of Golf in 2016 and 2019. Michael thoroughly enjoys teaching, loves to compete, and has been a guest of many top resorts and clubs around the country. He currently serves the Northern Chapter PGA as Tournament Chair. Michael was a member of the 2012 and 2021 Underwood Cup Professional Team.

Michael and his wife, Margaret, met in St. Augustine and were married in their favorite getaway, Savannah, GA, in 2014. When not on the golf course, you’ll find Michael completing projects around the house, enjoying the outdoors, cheering on his favorite teams, or traveling. He is excited to serve the membership at Deerwood and foster relationships throughout the Club.

William grew up in Thomasville, Georgia where he spent many afternoons on the golf course with his father. He moved to the Jacksonville area during high school and was on the golf team at First Coast High School. He attended the Professional Golfer’s Career College in Orlando where he obtained his degree in Golf Complex Operations and Management in 2009. After graduating, Will spent several years working at Green Brook Country Club in North Caldwell, NJ. He has been a PGA member since 2012 and is very active in the North Florida Section. Will joined the Deerwood team in December 2016. Before coming to Deerwood, he worked at Marsh Landing Country Club & Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Ponte Vedra, FL. Will spends most of his time on the course but when he is not, he enjoys watching UGA football!

Over the past two decades, Mark has built an extraordinary career, competing in tournaments across 53 countries and securing an impressive 35 worldwide victories against some of the best golfers in the world.

His career spans some of golf’s most prestigious tours, including The European Tour, Challenge Tour, and Web.com Tour. Mark has also had the honor of representing Chile on the international stage, competing in the World Cup and the Pan-American Games. His journey in the sport has given him not only the ability to play at the highest level but also a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in golf—both on and off the course. Beyond his personal achievements, Mark understands that golf is more than just individual performance; it’s about building relationships with fellow competitors, sponsors, and the fans who make the game special. His passion for the sport and his wealth of experience make him an invaluable addition to Deerwood’s golf community. Now, as he transitions into teaching and mentoring at Deerwood Country Club, Mark is eager to share his insights with members of all skill levels. Whether you're an aspiring junior, a weekend golfer looking to improve, or a seasoned player refining your game, learning from someone with Mark’s background is a rare and exciting opportunity. ngela Garvin grew up playing golf in Massachusetts. Her passion for the game led her to play four years of college golf at the University of Maryland and two years at New Mexico State University. Now an associate of the PGA, she plays in section events and is an assistant golf professional at Deerwood Country Club. She draws on her competitive playing experience to teach people how to take their game from practice to the course. She is also a student of Vision 54 and incorporates that into her teaching philosophy. Congratulations to Angela on her new journey overseeing the new Women’s Program at Deerwood Country Club.
